When designing a luxury "custom" home, why is glass color and coating not a major selection criteria? Why is your window company making you choose clear or gray Low E?? White or "Bronze or Black"? Why do only commercial architects carefully choose among the hundreds of possibilities?
I spent 20 years working with homeowners and interior designers going through the endless interior design selection process of evaluating styles and finishes for decorative plumbing and hardware and interior doors. I am amazed at the biggest design $$$$ decision on the home is barely given any thought at all.
As a design professional my mantra was "any custom color is standard for us". I kept dozens of glass samples and frame color samples for clients to choose from or could easily work with matching any custom color a designer came up with for frames. I had half a dozen variations of black and a dozen or more bronzes.
I help architects, builders, and owners select, specify, and detail luxury residential hurricane glazing systems without manufacturer or dealer biases.
From just one hour to as many hours as you need a glazing expert for your project.
I also give classes in all aspects of hurricane windows and doors on glass aesthetics and energy performance, manufacturer product overviews, detailed installation planning and best practices, and understanding hurricane product approvals.
