Have you ever had challenges with SLIDING POCKET DOORS?

There are so many different details to consider how it is going to finish. Will it fully pocket?
- How deep will the pocket need to be?
- How is it attached structurally?
- How will the wall finish transition to the P-Hook attachment?
- How will it be serviced?
- How should the slab recess be detailed for interior and exterior floor finishes?
- How wide are the tracks?
- Do you want to automate it?
- How will the inside of the pocket wall be finished? (you WILL see it)
- Do you want back to back overlapping pockets?

I have detailed hundreds of pockets from so many manufacturers and obsess over these details. It needs to be planned in at Construction Drawings or Design Development is even better. Changing manufacturers after the shell is under construction it may be too late.
