Bad Window Design

Don't let the window supplier decide how they are going to fill an opening... at least I HOPE this wasn't on the plans?? Multi-million dollar home on Miami Beach and I see some really bad choices like this all the time.

There are several ways to address the need to have a large operational window off the ground and maintain minimal sightlines. Sometimes it is with a cut down sliding door (lower the handle height!) and sometimes with very large horizontal rolling windows. It will be more expensive but it's the right way to do it.
